HANOI, 18 March 2026 - SCI E&C Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Global Hydro Energy GMBH and Global Hydro Vietnam Co., Ltd., officially signed a contract for the supply of completed Electro-mechanical Equipment & Technical services for the Nam Sam 3A Hydropower Plant Project.

The ceremony was solemnly held with the attendance of senior leaders from all parties, marking a significant milestone in the project's implementation and inaugurating a phase of close cooperation between the partners. With proven expertise and capacity in the hydropower sector, Global Hydro GMBH and Global Hydro Vietnam are expected to provide state-of-the-art technological solutions that meet stringent standards for quality, progress, and operational efficiency.

Located in Sam Tay District, Houaphanh Province (Laos), the Nam Sam 3A Hydropower Plant is a downstream-of-dam facility with a total installed capacity of 45 MW. The project features two 22.5 MW units equipped with vertical Francis turbines supplied by the Austrian contractor, Global Hydro. Upon commissioning, the plant will interconnect with the Vietnamese national power grid via a 220kV transmission line to the Nong Cong 220kV Substation in Thanh Hoa Province. With an average annual electricity output of approximately 192 GWh, the project will significantly contribute to a stable regional power supply and foster local socio-economic development.
